Many countries are seeking a dynamic balance between China and the U.S.. For example, Southeast Asian nations rely economically on China but somewhat leverage the U.S. for security. Indian Prime Minister Midi's attendance at the SCO summit but not the parade also reflects this complex mindset. Many countries interplay between geopolitics and economic interests.

The parade had demonstrated the China’s capability to safeguard national security and interests, which provides a stable foundation for economic development. Meanwhile, the conversion of defense technology for civilian use (military-civil fusion) is able to drive the industrial upgrading.
